Keep working at it! Where I am, some good photographers run workshops and are associated with the local photo club (Cleveland Photographic Society)…some of these are probably more interested in sharing their knowledge than others… So perhaps you can visit such a club where you are in the UK and find more willing support among professionals there. The club here is AWESOME and very open-handed and community-conscious, hopefully you’ll find something where you are!
